Getting Started
Connect your wallet, fund your account, and make your first cross-chain transfer with goBlink in under five minutes.
Prerequisites
Before you begin, you will need:
- A crypto wallet compatible with at least one of goBlink's 12 supported chains. Popular options include MetaMask (for EVM chains), Phantom (for Solana), and NEAR Wallet (for NEAR).
- Some tokens on the source chain to cover the transfer amount plus gas fees.
- A destination wallet address on the chain you want to send to. This can be your own wallet on another chain or someone else's address.
Step 1: Connect Your Wallet
- Visit app.goblink.io and click Connect Wallet in the top right corner.
- Select your wallet provider from the list. goBlink supports MetaMask, WalletConnect, Coinbase Wallet, Phantom, and NEAR Wallet out of the box.
- Approve the connection request in your wallet. goBlink requests read-only access to your address -- it will never ask for your private keys or seed phrase.
- Once connected, you will see your wallet address and token balances displayed in the top navigation bar.
Connecting Multiple Wallets
If you want to transfer between your own wallets on different chains, you can connect multiple wallets in a single session. Click the wallet icon in the nav bar and select Add Wallet to connect an additional provider. goBlink keeps track of all connected wallets and lets you pick the source and destination independently.
Step 2: Choose Source and Destination
The main transfer screen has two panels:
- From -- Select the chain and token you want to send. Your available balance is shown below the token selector.
- To -- Select the destination chain and token. Enter the recipient wallet address, or select one of your connected wallets.
As you fill in these fields, goBlink fetches a real-time quote showing:
- The exchange rate between the source and destination tokens
- The estimated network fees on both chains
- The goBlink platform fee (0.1% for standard transfers)
- The estimated time to completion
Selecting Tokens
The token selector shows your wallet's balances for all recognized tokens on the selected chain. You can search by token name or contract address. If a token is not listed, you can paste its contract address to add it manually -- goBlink will verify the contract and display the token details before allowing a transfer.
Step 3: Review and Confirm
After entering the transfer details, click Review Transfer. A summary screen shows:
| Field | Description |
|---|---|
| Source | Chain, token, and amount being sent |
| Destination | Chain, token, and expected amount received |
| Exchange Rate | The rate locked in for this transfer |
| Platform Fee | 0.1% of the transfer amount |
| Network Fees | Estimated gas costs on source and destination chains |
| Estimated Time | Expected completion time (typically 10--60 seconds) |
| Recipient | The destination wallet address |
Review every field carefully. Once you click Confirm Transfer, goBlink will prompt your wallet to sign the transaction. The exchange rate is locked for 30 seconds from the moment you click Review -- if you take longer, the quote refreshes automatically.
Step 4: Sign the Transaction
Your wallet will pop up with a transaction approval request. This is a standard on-chain transaction on the source chain. You are approving:
- Token approval (if this is your first time transferring this token) -- This grants goBlink's smart contract permission to move the specified amount. You can set an exact approval amount or unlimited approval, depending on your preference.
- Transfer execution -- The actual transaction that initiates the cross-chain swap through the 1Click protocol.
If you are using a hardware wallet (Ledger, Trezor), make sure it is connected and unlocked before clicking Confirm.
Step 5: Track Your Transfer
After signing, you are taken to the transfer tracking screen. Here you can monitor the progress in real time:
- Submitted -- Your transaction has been broadcast to the source chain.
- Confirming -- The source chain is processing block confirmations. The number of required confirmations varies by chain.
- Executing -- The 1Click protocol is coordinating the cross-chain swap via NEAR Intents. A solver has picked up your intent and is fulfilling it.
- Completing -- Tokens are being delivered to the destination chain.
- Done -- The transfer is complete. The recipient's wallet now holds the destination tokens.
You can safely close the browser during any stage. Your transfer continues regardless, and you can check its status anytime by visiting the History tab in the goBlink app.
Your Transfer History
Every transfer you make is recorded in the History tab, accessible from the main navigation. Each entry shows:
- Source and destination chain and token
- Amount sent and amount received
- Transaction hashes on both the source and destination chains (clickable links to block explorers)
- Timestamp and completion time
- Current status
You can filter by chain, token, date range, or status. Export your history as a CSV file for accounting or tax reporting.
Tips for Your First Transfer
- Start small. Send a minimal amount first to verify that everything works as expected before transferring larger sums.
- Double-check the recipient address. Cross-chain transfers are irreversible. There is no way to recall tokens sent to the wrong address.
- Watch gas prices. On chains like Ethereum, gas fees fluctuate significantly. goBlink shows you estimated fees before you confirm, but the actual cost depends on network conditions at the time your transaction is mined.
- Bookmark the tracking page. If you need to share proof of a transfer, the tracking page URL contains everything the recipient needs to verify the payment.
